9:40am - 10:00am Keynote: Your Future in VR
Tuesday Oct 18
- Location: Level C
Description
VR is a technically logical continuation of 3D And just like already in the 3D-world, we are longing for Holodeck worlds, which we may access without glasses or something alike.
VR with glasses and headphone…
… is the conquest of the infinite widths of space at the price of a complete "intermedial isolation".
VR is immersion in the "head cinema"/ "movie-mind" to experience in these artificial areas the illusion of the transcendence.
VR makes us all apprentices again
However the attraction is to start again from „zero“; it entices us to dream of something “new“ – and to make it “real“ in a virtual world.
VR can be the key to many “new worlds”
And nevertheless it runs the risk that in these „worlds“ too, scenarios of the “old world” will often celebrate merry revivals.
We, the VR Makers, we are still the avant-garde now
however who will command the armies, that will follow?
Our future in VR?
Like a pro crust bed, in which the makers of man-kind will abandon the brink between day and night.
